Happy Italian Place – Kreuzberg
Salumeria & Bruschetta is a store and restaurant in one. Here you can get delicious Prosciutto di Parma, tasty olives, Parmesan Cheese and many other typical Italian products. But you can also order a nice plate of pasta or an oven-fresh pizza.
I’ve been here several times and have enjoyed their Pasta-Pesto, Spaghetti Bolognese, Salad with Buffalo Mozzarella and Pizza Verdura. All very tasty! The Pasta-Pesto especially nice, every single bite was delicious. Just one remark; I expected a bit more mozzarella in the salad. Also, some salad leaves had brown edges, I did not finish the salad because of it.
The service is friendly and really fast. That is also the reason why it can be a bit crowded during lunch hours. Another reason could be the “pasta happy hour” (Mo-Fr 11:00-16:00 hours). All pasta dishes cost one euro less. I would say that is a pretty good deal, as the average price is around 7 euro.
The interior is simple but cozy, with dark wooden tables, shelves with good wine and a display with Italian delicacies. If the Berlin weather allows it, you can sit outside at one of the tables with red and white checkered tablecloths.
